The Milesight UC511-868M is a solar-powered LoRaWAN® controller for remote irrigation valve control. It drives two 12 VDC two-wire latching solenoids to open and close valves locally over NFC or remotely via LoRaWAN® and the Milesight IoT Cloud, and its two pulse inputs monitor up to two water meters for flow-based control. It supports time- and flow-based scheduling with local rules for offline operation and Milesight D2D.
The unit runs on two rechargeable Li-ion cells kept charged by an embedded 6 V / 1.7 W solar panel, giving multi-year autonomy in Class A. Housed in an IP68 outdoor enclosure with M12 connectors, it mounts on a wall or pole — for agricultural, landscape and garden irrigation.
Before deployment
- Setup: via the Milesight ToolBox app (NFC) or over USB-C.
- Power: solar panel and rechargeable battery (2× 2550 mAh), or DC 5–24 V.
- Inputs & outputs: 2× outputs for latching 12 V DC solenoid valves + a pulse input for a water meter.
- Data: over LoRaWAN — needs a LoRaWAN gateway to send data (sold separately); remote monitoring via the Milesight platform is free for up to 10 devices.
