The Milesight EM500-LGT-868M is an outdoor LoRaWAN® light sensor measuring ambient illuminance across 0–100,000 lux with 1 lux resolution and ±3 % accuracy. A separate light probe on a 3 m cable lets the electronics sit in a sheltered spot while the probe is placed where light is measured.
The rugged IP67, UV-resistant enclosure and –30 °C to +70 °C range suit permanent outdoor use. A replaceable 19000 mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery lasts up to 10 years. Configuration is via NFC or USB-C, with pole, wall or DIN-rail mounting — ideal for agriculture, greenhouses and lighting management.
Before you install
- Setup: via the Milesight ToolBox app (NFC) or over USB-C.
- Power: a built-in lithium battery (ER34615), up to ~10-year life.
- Data: over LoRaWAN — needs a LoRaWAN gateway to send data (sold separately); remote monitoring via the Milesight platform is free for up to 10 devices.
