The Milesight SG50 is an ultra-low-power LoRaWAN® gateway for remote, off‑grid locations. Thanks to its integrated solar panel, rechargeable battery and advanced power management, it can operate autonomously, even without sunlight, for up to 4 days.
With LTE cellular backhaul, Wi‑Fi configuration and support for central network servers, the SG50 ensures seamless connectivity in challenging environments from oilfields and forests to smart streetlights and agriculture. Rugged and versatile, it’s plug‑and‑play ready for wide‑area IoT deployment.
Before deployment
- Power: the solar panel and backup battery are included (up to ~4 days of operation without sun).
- Connectivity: 4G LTE (nano SIM not included); no Ethernet.
- Management: a built-in LoRaWAN network server (up to ~100 devices), runs standalone; set up via the web interface (Wi-Fi), remote management via the Milesight platform.

- Keep a distance of at least 20 cm between the antennas and people while the device operates.
- Change the default passwords at the first setup.
