The Saft LSH 20 is a high-power primary lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) battery in a rugged D-size spiral cell. It delivers a stable 3.6 V nominal voltage and a nominal capacity of 13 Ah (13000 mAh), combined with a very low self-discharge rate for exceptional long-life operation in demanding industrial and IoT applications.
Key features
- Lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) chemistry, 3.6 V nominal voltage
- Nominal capacity of 13 Ah (13000 mAh)
- D-size spiral cell design for high drain and pulse capability (typically up to 4000 mA)
- Maximum recommended continuous current of 1800 mA
- Wide operating temperature range of -60 °C to +85 °C
- Low self-discharge rate (less than 3% after one year of storage at +20 °C) for long shelf life
Its stable voltage and long-life design make the LSH 20 ideal for powering HARDWARIO IoT hubs and other long-life industrial IoT, metering, tracking and remote monitoring devices, enabling years of maintenance-free operation.
Safety information
- Insert the cells with the correct polarity (+ and −) and use them only in devices designed for this type and voltage.
- Never recharge primary (non-rechargeable) cells. Do not mix old and new cells or cells of different types.
- Do not short-circuit, open, crush or heat cells and do not throw them into fire.
- Keep cells out of the reach of children.
- A damaged or leaking cell can overheat or catch fire: take it out of use and do not touch leaking electrolyte.
- Lithium batteries are dangerous goods in transport. When shipping, follow the carrier's rules for lithium batteries.
