The kit includes the CHESTER base board, which supports Bluetooth Low Energy, NB-IoT/LTE-M, LoRaWAN, and GNSS communication, as well as three expansion modules (CHESTER-X0, CHESTER-X2, and CHESTER-X4) that allow developers to explore the capabilities of the CHESTER SDK and Zephyr RTOS.
CHESTER is a highly configurable IoT LPWAN gateway designed to connect devices and environments to the Internet, especially in areas without standard access to power and the Internet.
CHESTER-X0 allows developers to connect up to 4 digital and analog inputs and outputs, 4–20 mA current loop channels, 0–10 V voltage inputs, dry contacts, NPN or PNP inputs, and a 5V boost converter.
CHESTER-X2 adds TTL/UART and RS-485 interfaces to the base board, enabling communication via Modbus.
CHESTER-X4 is a DC/DC converter that supplies power from an external 6–28 VDC source and includes input voltage monitoring.
The DevKit allows developers to fully explore the potential of the CHESTER system and its expansions, enabling them to create custom firmware applications tailored to specific requirements.
